Success Story

Great job, Ron!

Mr. Ronald Manuel chose Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief hospitalization for surgical intervention on his lower extremity. Upon his initial evaluation, Ron required substantial assistance with all functional mobility, self-care tasks, and hadpoor activity tolerance. This marked a significant decline from his previous level of function, making his recovery a priority. A personalized therapy plan of care was developed tohelp Mr. Manuel regain his strength and independence, with the goal of returning home to his prior level of functionality.

With the support of Berlin’s dedicated therapy team and Ron’s own motivation, significant progress was made. Over the course of his rehabilitation, Ron became independent with all mobility and self-care tasks, using a rolling walker for support. He also demonstrated are markable improvement in activity tolerance, walking over 300 feet and participating in standing activities for more than five minutes. Ron was grateful for the care and support he received from the rehabilitation team, and he was thrilled to be able to return home, “better than before,” just in time for the holidays. His progress is a testament to his hardwork, determination, and the expertise of the Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center team. We are so proud of your achievements and wish you all the best as you continue your recovery!
